Day Four 01/04/07 ad nausem

I have decided that there will be no more than three posts on any given day cataloging the Beatles and the Stones. I've just found another pick up of that highest rating tours story in the Cincinnati Enquirer. Also in the Enquirer a story about Paul McCartney's art collection. Here's a link to that article: http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory?id=2758641

More Day Four 01/04/07

The back of that same USA Today has a reference to the Love soundtrack and a picture of the Beatles circe '65.

Day Four 01/04/07

Looking through a USA Today from a week ago, I saw a little article about the highest grossing tours of 2007. The Stones, #1. Here's an article about it from a far superior newspaper: http://www.ohio.com/mld/beaconjournal/living/16334067.htm

The never ending Day Three 01/03/07

In their 2002 documentary Gigantic John Linnell of They Might Be Giants calls the band, "the shitty Beatles." According to an article in January's Spin those other boys from Brooklyn may have to give up their title. Austin's The Dung Beatles haven't updated their website since May of '05 but if you're interested in the literal shitty Beatles, here you go: http://www.fireflyers.com/dungbeatles/

More Day Three 01/03/07

I did a little research to find information about that Chase commerical as well as get those article links. Of course I saw more Beatles and Stones things. The article about "I'm Free" on www.allmusic.com is all about both the Beatles and the Stones. I glanced at it. The more I work on this blog the more it feels like a way to get more information about the Beatles and the Stones. I have to stop that.

Day Three 01/03/07

Article about Paul McCartney in last Saturday's Cincinnati Enquirer. I did not read it. Here is a link to a similiar story: http://www.grandhaventribune.com/paid/299205080583431.bsp

More Day Two 01/02/07

Susan decided to listen to the radio. Two John Lennon songs, one Stones' song, the mention of a Beatles song coming on next. Then we decided to watch television. The Stones are features in that Chase Visa commerical. The song in that commerical songs like a remix of "I'm Free" from 1965's December's Children (And Everybody's).

Day Two 01/02/07

There was an article in last Friday's Cincinnati Enquirer about a signed copy of the Beatle's Please, Please Me being auctioned. I didn't read it. Here's a link to that story http://thechronicleherald.ca/Entertainment/549721.html

Day One 01/01/07

Would you believe that I didn't even make it through the first day. While Susan was looking at her e-mail last night I read sections of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time Rolling Stone that I received as a Christmas gift about three years ago. Both the Beatles and the Stone were on pages that I past. *sigh*
